There are several new features and some new scorecards. Once I get the Scorecard Pro update out, Ill start working on getting more pictures available for Classic Cars Pro.

Couple New Features

Some convenient features have been added to Scorecard Pro:

First off, a reset button has been added to the game details screen. This will clear the scores the current game. This would be useful if you want to play multiple games with the same people and don't care about saving the scores from past games. Pretty straightforward there.

Second, there is a new Quick Select Names feature. This will allow you to quickly setup new people for a game by selecting from a list of commonly used names. To setup your list of commonly used names, click on "Quick Select Names" in the settings tab. Here you can add, update, or delete your list. Then when adding a person to a game, your list will appear. Select a name on the list and it automatically adds the person to the game. Simple as that!

Any Questions, Comments, Suggestions??
As always, just post them here or email me at jjring31@gmail.com. I'll be sure to respond.

Thanks for all the support!

CCP In Review

The new update for Classic Cars Pro and Classic Car is in review by Apple.

Whats New?
PICTURES!!

How do I get it?
Go to the help page in the app and click the "Get New Photos" button. This will download all the photos to your device. There are currently about 92 photos. Since they will be stored on your device, you can access them anywhere! You will only have to connect to the internet when you need to download new pictures that have been added.

But whats great is that I won't have to push out a new update every time I add photos. Since you get them from the server, all you have to do is click "Get New Photos" and all the photos I add to the server will be downloaded. No updating required! (after this initial update). On the main page of my blog you'll see a new box in the upper right corner called "Server Status". Here you can find out if it is functioning properly or not for if you come across problems when trying to get new pictures.

A helpful tip, WIFI is sooooo much faster than using 3G. I did my testing over WIFI and it download all 92 pictures in under 25 seconds. This would take a lot longer over 3G. I strongly suggest getting new pictures over WIFI since it is way faster.

As always, please contact me or reply to this post if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions? Thanks!

Good News

On a Monday? Really? Yep!

I would definitely consider 70 new pictures for classic cars as goods news. I've gotten numerous comments and suggestions asking for more pictures. So I've finally come through. Just like the cars, it's not all gonna happen at once, pictures will continually be added and updated when I have time. But for now, you can expect 70 more car pictures and a new car will also be added in the coming weeks. Now how much would you pay?

Since I'm listening to you, I would appreciate it if you would listen to me when I ask in the most polite and humble way, "Would you please take the minute that it takes to rate the app, write a review, or just send me feedback. Thank you. :)"

Scorecard??? Maybe???

I think I have fixed Scorecard Pro from crashing and losing scores. If you are still experiencing problems, please reply to this post or email me at jjring31@gmail.com.

Thanks for all the support.

**Update** 5-1-11
I just don't know. It still seems to be occasionally crashing and losing scores for me. I haven't figured out why its crashing, but I have figured out a way for it to save the scores if it does crash. This update will be out soon.

My APPologies

My apologies for anybody having difficulty with the new style of Scorecard Pro. I have received feedback that it just isn't working for people and that it crashes frequently. I thought I fixed it from crashing, but apparently not so I'm currently working out all the issues so it will hopefully work for everybody once I get a new update out.

Sorry for any inconveniences and/or loss of scores. I know that there is nothing more frustrating than being over half way done with a game when you lose all the previously entered scores.

Ready for a slow down?

Ya, probably not, but its gonna happen anyway. The updates are going to start slowing down and there will be a bigger time span between my updates.
So the future plans are as follows:
-Get an update out for Scorecard Pro that combines the old style with the new style
-Major update for Invisimaze (it's a secret though) and it's going to take awhile

Thanks for everybody who has written reviews on the app store or sent me feedback about any of my apps. I really appreciate it. If you haven't written feedback or a review, would you please do so? It really is not hard and it doesn't take all day to do, much less 2 minutes. I have email links in all my apps so all you have to do is click on the link and send a quick email.

Thanks for all the support.

Cars Cars Cars

The new layout for the car apps are out. And I must say I think they both turned out well.

Classic Car has 2 In-App Purchases to upgrade the cars and remove the ads and the other In-App Purchase adds some extra awesome features. Both are only $.99.

Classic Cars Pro comes with everything that you could get from the In-App Purchases and the whole app is only $.99. So essentially buying Classic Cars Pro is $.99 cheaper than buying the In-App Purchases for the free version.

Anyways, the updates are out and are awesome so go check it out!

Its Official

Yup, its official. I finally got an iPad. I can finally do some real testing for my iPad apps. Currently i've been testing in a simulator on my computer, but its just not quite the same as the real thing.

First on the list, fix the score boxes for Five Crown, Quiddler, Play Nine! (Golf), and Dominos. I was testing Scorecard Pro and found out that for some reason the image for the score boxes wasn't showing up but for some reason the image shows up in the iPad simulator. Turned out to be a typo, but I'll get that fixed and updated along with some other typos that were found.

Also, my new iPad gave me a better idea for the layout of my car apps. A makeover for my car apps is currently in the works for both iPhone and iPad and I must say, it's gonna be way better than what it was. You'll like it.

So thats whats in the works and is coming soon.

:) im so excited i finally got an iPad :)

They just keep coming

iPad Support for Scorecard Pro has been submitted to Apple. You can expect it to come out within a week. Some other bug fixes have also been made.

And currently, I am in the process of updating Classic Car and Classic Cars Pro. I am doing a complete makeover on them just like I did with Scorecard Pro. If you have any suggestions or would like to see something be changed on these two apps, now is the time to let me know.

I have already done most of the work and I think it is much better than what it was, more user friendly and more efficient to use. You'll like it once it comes out.

In App Purchases

As you may or may not have noticed, I did happen to slip in an update of Classic Car. This provides the ability to upgrade to pro right from within the app using In App Purchases. You'll be seeing more of this in some of my other apps including InvisiMaze.

That was fast.

Scorecard Pro is out. Yup, its already been approved and is available for download. So here is the complete guide to everything you need to know. If anything happens to be missing, just leave a comment or email me. I will be sure to answer any questions you may have.

Side note: The next version is coming along quite well. I've made a lot of progress for iPad support so you can expect it early March or sooner. If you come across any problems in this version, please let me know as soon as you come across the problem. That way I can get it into the next update before it comes out.

Scorecard Pro Guide:

First off, to turn off the hints, go to settings and select off. I know, I know, they can get real annoying really fast, but they can be quite helpful in the beginning.

To setup a new game, click on the "+" button. Then, enter a title for the game. The title for the game does not have to be the name of the game that you want to score for. For example, if you want to score for yahtzee, you don't have to name the game "Yahtzee". Instead I would recommend calling the game "Game 1", "My first game", or "Game with friends". But its your game, you can call it what you want. However, do NOT leave this blank. If you leave it blank, your game may NOT be saved. On the next page is where you will select the type of game that you want to score for.

The available games are:
Dominos
Farkle
Five Crown
A general scorecard
Phase 10
Play Nine! (Golf)
Quiddler
Spades
Yahtzee

After you choose the type of game and save, it will take you to your new game. This is the game detail screen. You will not be allowed to start scoring until you have the correct number of people. If you don't have the correct number of people you will be notified.

On the game detail screen, click the edit button. After clicking the edit button, you can change the game title, the location, and add or remove people. To change the game title or location, click on the text and edit it to your liking. To remove people, click on the red icon on the left of the person, then click delete. To add a person, click on the table where it says "Add Person". Enter the name of the person. If you leave it blank, a default name will be give to the person. Last, you can change the order of the people by clicking and dragging on the bars on the right side of the screen. Click save when you are done editing the information. Now if you go back to the main screen, you will see your new game. To delete your game or any other games you don't want, click on edit. Then click on the red icon next to the game and click delete.

Some handy things to know, just incase you get a huge collection of scorecards. Check out the settings. Here you can sort your games several different ways. If you want to sort by game types, you can then choose the order that you want the games. Also in the settings, you can choose to filter by a game type. Doing so will only show the game type that you selected. You can also look at all the help tips by selecting "View Help Hints".

To get game specific help, go in to the game. Click on the options button and then click on the little "i" icon or click on the "Help" button.

FYI, this app is completely offline. All of your data, games, scores, and settings are stored on your device. This new version will save all of your games until you delete them.

Thats all I can think of for now. Again, if you have any questions, just leave a comment or email me.

(Wow that was a long post. A lot to type)

Scorecard Pro has been...

Well, it's been submitted (sooner than I expected). The new scorecard pro has been submitted. It should take about a week or so then you should see an update for it in the app store. If for some reason it doesn't open after updating, trying deleting the app then redownloading it. Hopefully this will be the last time you will need to do that.

A couple things to note.

As I promised, I will include support for iPad, just not in this version. It will be coming as an update shortly. I just happened to get the iphone side of it done and thought I should release it since it was ready. That way anything that needs to be fixed can be include on the iPad update. I promised iPad support and that is what you will receive. . . soon.

Next, I also said that all the same games will be included in the new version. I lied. I decided not to put Euchre in the new version. It was in the last one just for fun. I really never expected anybody to use it. I didn't even use it to play Euchre. So I didn't waste my time adding it to the new version. IF, for some reason you did use it and are really upset it is not in the new update, this is the post to complain on. Maybe, just maybe, I'll add it back in. On the positive side, I added a couple new scorecards, Dominos and Play Nine! (Golf).

Last, the new update will ONLY work on devices that have iOS 4.0 or higher. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend updating your iPad, iPod, or iPhone to the latest iOS. It is my understanding that the App Store will NOT allow you to download my app based on settings I set for my app unless you have iOS 4.0 or higher.

Whenever it gets approved by Apple, I'll give more in-depth details about how to operate it and probably answer any questions you have about it.

Just a reminder

If you have any classic cars that you would like to see added to Classic Cars Pro, just let me know. I've added just about every car that has been requested so far. So all you have to do is let me know.

Also if you have any, I mean any at all, suggestions, please let me know. I have had certain scorecards that have been requested and added. I got some suggestions for improvements for InvisiMaze which have added and I am currently working on more improvements for InvisiMaze that have been requested. Maybe you think there is a better/quicker way to score for a game or a quicker way to search for cars. Maybe you found a bug or something in an app, those are things you should let me know about.

So if you have a suggestions for any of my apps, let me know because it is very likely that I'll add that addition or improvement to my app for you.

Scorecard Pro Update

Simply put, Scorecard Pro is getting completely re-done from scratch.

It will still have the same scorecards but it's going to look different and it is going to be easier to use. It's also going to have a few new scorecards added along with some new AWESOME! features. Last, it is getting updated for iPad(only a year behind schedule) because using a scorecard would be so much easier on an iPad. Once all this is done(sit down,it's gonna be awhile), it will allow me to add even more AWESOME! features that I was not able to add before. But like my last post...it's a surprise!

InvisiMaze Update

A new InvisiMaze update just came out. It allows you to play against somebody else using Bluetooth.

There are three different multiplayer modes
***Race*** Race against your opponent to collect all your targets.
***Switch*** It is the same as Race except that you control the ball on their screen. When you collect all the targets on your opponents screen by using your device, you win!
***Collect'em*** Using two different mazes, you must race against your opponent to collect the MOST targets.

Also, check out the bonus mazes. They are a lot of fun and will keep you guessing for awhile.

More new stuff to come...but it's a surprise!
