April Update

Map My Drive:
The amount of reported bugs has dropped drastically with recent Map My Drive updates. I can confirm that the performance of the app in background is a lot better and Drives no longer randomly stop tracking. So if you haven't done so yet, please update to the latest version of the app. A new update will be out soon for Map My Drive which will allow you to 3D Touch on the app icon to quickly start a new drive.

P2P Lending P:
An important new update is coming out for P2P Lending P that will allow you to invest in loans straight from the app. In the side menu is a new Invest option. Simply pick your sort and filter criteria to being browsing loans. Once you find one you like, enter in the amount you want to invest and hit the Invest option. That's all there is to it. Important: You MUST allow write and read access to your account in order to invest in loans from the app. This is set when initially logging in. To reset this option, go to Settings in the app, remove your account from the device, and relogin. The new update will also contain a new icon and theme to more closely resemble Prosper.

It's Arrived!

Finally! After months of hoop jumping and running in circles, I've finally had enough exercise and I'm ready to release my new app. P2P Lending P is my new app released under the company P2P Lending LLC. This app is used to view data and notes from your Prosper Funding LLC account. It shows a ton of useful information with a lot of customizability. In addition, you can setup notifications to let you know once you have a certain amount of available cash. The app is fairly basic, but since there are no other Prosper apps, this is better than nothing. You'll at least be able to get a quick overview of your account while on the go and with notifications, you can make sure that all of your cash is being invested. More updates will come to this app including the ability to invest straight from the app and cool visual graphs. Stay tuned and let me know if you have anything else you would like to see from the app. Comments, questions, and concerns can be directed to jjring@p2plendingllc.com. Thanks!

I've developed another app and this one is called P2P Lending. It is currently being reviewed by Apple and will be released soon. You can view the privacy policy for the upcoming app here

That's all for now. There will be more info on the new app after it's released.

Map My Drive 1.5 Now Available!

The latest update for Map My Drive is now available on the iOS App Store! It's a big update with a lot of requested features.

  • The first major new update is Apple Watch support. That's right. You can now create, start, and stop drives directly from your Apple Watch. The watch will also show your current location on a map and show all of your previous drives with details. It's a great new way to interact with Map My Drive and provides a lot of new convenient ways to start and stop Drives.
  • The second major improvement to Map My Drive is the ability to generate a KML file of your Drive. Use the share icon in the lower left of the map screen to access this option. A KML file is an XML based file format used to display geographic data in an Earth browser such as Google Earth or Google Maps. The KML file generated from Map My Drive will draw a line of your route when it is imported to Google Earth or Google Maps. This is a great way to share your Drive with your friends or family. It is also useful for viewing your drive from a desktop computer. There are currently two ways to share the KML file of your Drive. You can either email it to anyone or upload it directly to your Google Drive account. After signing in and authenticating with Google, the KML file of your Drive will be directly uploaded to your Google Drive folder.
  • Last but not least, you can now merge Drives together. From the map screen, you will find a new "Merge" button in the upper right corner. Here you can create a new Drive and enter in a new name. This will essentially copy your Drive. The second option is to merge with an existing Drive. This will present you with the entire list of your Drives for you to select from. Merging with an existing Drive will copy your route to the existing Drive. BE CAREFUL as this action CANNOT be undone.

I really hope everyone enjoys the new update and the new highly requested features. If you have a new feature idea, comments, questions, or concerns, please email me at jjring31@gmail.com or leave a comment on my blog. More great updates to Map My Drive are coming SOON. Look for them.

Map My Drive for iOS can be downloaded from iOS App Store.

It's Gonna Get Better

An update to Map My Drive is now sitting and waiting for the Apple stamp of approval. Once it passes, it will soon be traveling through the interwebs right to your iOS device. For it being the first update to the app, it's quite a big one. In addition to going on my own 10k road trip and really putting the app to the test to find out what worked and what didn't, I listened to the very helpful feedback that you provided. So what's new? Many unseen performance enhancements have been made along with several visual and functional enhancements. But you'll just have to wait a little bit longer to get all the details. Look for an update to Map My Drive next week in the Apple App Store.

And if you love the app, I would greatly appreciate it if you would write a quick review or rate the app in the App Store. It would help me out a lot.

Thanks,
-Jeff

Map My Drive App Debut

I've developed a new app called Map My Drive which is going through the Apple review channels right now. Once approved and available, it will be FREE.

Now available on the Apple App Store, still FREE and still AWESOME:

Don't know where you're going but want to know where you've been?

Map My Drive is a simple, easy to use GPS tracking application that will plot where you drive on a map.
Since all the data is stored on your device and is not sent across the internet, you can be sure that it is safe and secure. It is primarily designed to be used for tracking where a car drives, but could be used for other purposes as well.

You can create multiple Drives and have complete control over when you want to start and stop tracking for each Drive. Also for each Drive, you can see how far you travelled and how long it took you by checking out the Drive details. In addition, Map My Drive can continually track your location (with your consent, of course) in the background freeing you up to use your phone for other purposes.

While tracking your location, you can quickly and easily share where you currently are with any of your friends.

Map My Drive has been optimized for iOS 8 and designed to look great on any size screen. This includes the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus but also looks great on earlier generation iPhone's.

Since continued use of any GPS service running in the background can significantly decrease battery life, there are a few settings that you can change within the app to help fit your needs and reduce battery usage.

Got any questions? Just drop a comment below.

Car Updates

So I put the previous project I was working on, on hold for other more important updates. More specifically both Classic Car and Classic Cars Pro have been updated to show more pictures. A lot more pictures. In addition, it is a lot easier now for me to quickly add missing pictures or update pictures that are wrong. Hope you enjoy the update.

Be on the look out for several Scorecard Pro updates.

What's to come?

Well that will remain a surprise, but I must say that it will be REALLY cool and I'm really excited to be working on it. I think that you will really enjoy it also. However, it takes me awhile to get the ball rolling so don't expect to see it anytime soon. =/

Who knows. Maybe I'll drop small hints along the way.

Car App Updates

So as you may have seen, I released an update to Classic Car and Classic Cars Pro recently. If you haven't seen it, go check it out now. It was completely rewritten from the ground up and is designed for iOS 7. It looks and works great. You should know that the pictures in the last post titled 'Progress', looks nothing like what the app currently looks like. I decided to ditch that design.

I understand that the pictures need a lot of improvement and there needs to be a lot more pictures. I can say that I'm actively working on it. Just like the app, I am completely redoing the pictures from the ground up and starting over. It will be slow to build back up, but I'm only getting pictures from reliable sources now. So in the end, it will be better.

I also plan to make a few smaller updates when I get time to add in some cool new things that I planned to, but just didn't have the time to. Things like sharing info through social media or email. But first on my todo list is to beef up the pictures.

Any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email me at jjring31@gmail.com or drop a comment somewhere on my blog. I'd loved to hear from you and get any feedback you have.

Thanks and enjoy.

Progress

Got the store and picture up and working. More to come later.

EDIT:
This looks nothing like the final design I ended up going with.

CC Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek at where Classic Car and Classic Cars Pro is headed. Just started this today so it is NOWHERE near done, but I thought I'd give you a quick look. This update will take longer than normal as I'm rewriting ever bit of code, optimizing and cleaning it up where I can. So hopefully it will run smoother, crash less, future proof it (hopefully), and just be more awesome. If you have any ideas for it, now would be a great time to let me know. Enjoy.

EDIT:
This looks nothing like the final design I ended up going with.

What's Happening and The Plan

Okay, so i've pushed out some updates to Classic Car and Classic Cars Pro recently. I just submitted a new one for Classic Car that has some bug fixes. But not to fear for the these two apps are next in my list for a major over haul and i'll start working on that shortly. We're talking about a completely new layout optimized for multiple screen sizes and new features that were introduced in iOS 6. I might also throw in some sort of sharing feature. And overall, there are just gonna be a lot of cool new things, just you wait and see. If there are any new features you would like to see, drop me a comment below or email me at jjring31@gmail.com .

In other news, I just submitted an update to BlueBox - File Transfer to the Apple App Store. This is a cool app that I work on with a company called Apperfection. The app itself is great for sending photos, videos, and contacts between iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod). If you haven't yet, go check it out. Its free to download and the new update will be out in a week or so (whenever Apple happens to approve it).

Possibly bad news for you

So I've given it a lot of thought and I've come to the decision that I will only be supporting the latest devices running the latest software. That means that any future updates of my apps will require that you be running the latest major version of iOS (so currently iOS 6.0 or later). I've always tried to support as many people as possible, but it's time to change. It's too difficult to support older devices and it's preventing me from implementing new cool features that aren't supported on older software. And implementing cool new features is why I got into the app making business. So, to everyone using out dated devices that can't upgrade to the latest iOS version, I'm truly sorry. But I'm no longer supporting your devices and there will be no more new updates for you.

Good news for you

So if you remember, my last post back in February said I would release a Scorecard Pro update soon. Well, I finally released it and it is currently available on the Apple App Store. It has been updated for iPhone 5 and iOS 6 and also contains a lot of bug fixes.

Go check it out now.

Busy Busy Busy

I've been really busy the past few weeks and haven't really had time to update my apps. I'm trying real hard to finish SC Pro and I'm almost done with it. Just a few more iPhone 5 tweaks and it should be ready to go (hopefully available to you in the coming weeks). Good news, I'm supporting the larger screen of the new iPhone 5. Bad new, I'm not officially supporting the iPad Mini. It may work, it may not work, I don't know cause I'm not gonna test it on the iPad Mini or write any special code for it.

I'd like to get to Classic Cars, but it will require more work to support the iPhone 5 than originally expected. I'll get to it eventually, but I can't say when that will be. However, I've been continually updating the available pictures thanks to people who keep sending in suggestions. So please keep suggesting car pictures, and I'll keep adding them.

Then there's InvisiMaze...

iOS 6 and iPhone 5

I'm currently finishing up a project for another app. However once that is finished, I'll be updating Classic Cars Pro and Scorecard Pro for iOS 6 and iPhone 5. Maybe even a new feature or two will get added in, you'll just have to wait and see.
